無線コントローラ
そういや俺の予想は思いっきり外れて、次世代機は無線コントローラになりました。これはスケーラビリティの確保という意味と、Bluetoothのコストがだいぶ下がる目処がついているところで、サードパーティ製のコントローラの氾濫を逆に防いで純正コントローラを売りさばいて利益を確保するというところだろうか。
今思えば確かに無線コントローラのほうが利益を確保できるという線も確かにあるわけで、これはうかつだった。
PS3で気になる点では、SDカード、コンパクトフラッシュを利用可能にした一方で、PS1/2のメモリーカードスロットは見あたらない。当然こうなるとオプションでメモリーカードスロットを発売するわけだろうが、案外乗り換えユーザーにとっては敷居が高いのかも知れない。
今気がついたが、なにげにデジタル光出力端子があるではないか。しかもSACD対応とくれば、コレはちょっとイイんじゃないですかね。真っ先に買うかも知れない。SACD対応でも出力がしょぼかったら意味無いと思ってたんで、これは大きいですよ。
