XBOX360が発表されたが
なんかスペック的にはもの凄い頑張ってるなあ。固定スペックのコンソールだからこそCPUを3コアにしたりしてもそのうち使いこなしてくれるんだろうし。
メモリ512MBとHDD内蔵はまあ評価すべき。ここでコストを削って不相応にチープなものになるかもしれないという不安は一応消えた。ただメインメモリにGDDR3ってどうなんだろうか。ちょっと微妙な感じもする。全てのゲームタイトルで1080iに対応することを宣言したのはもの凄く大きい。やはり解像度がないと表現力はかなり制限されるものだ。
まあただ、モノは素晴らしいんだが、XBOXとの互換性がない点、ブランド力の問題、完全にゲーム専用機であり家電製品的付加価値がなさそうという点で、次世代PSに勝つのはまず難しいだろう。しかし大きな飛躍を遂げることは間違いないように思える。
個人的には次世代のゲーム機にHDTV普及の先導役を担って欲しいわけだが、さてどうだろうか。
