衆院選雑感
意外っちゃ意外な結果だけれども、民主党が今回あまりにもおかしな方向に走りすぎたのが思いっきり結果に反映したという感じですか。
たぶんそんなに民主党が言うほど有権者は郵政ばかりを見てはいない。民主党が年金や財政だと言えば言うほど、有権者は両党の公約を精査することになった。むしろそこである程度自民党へ積極的に投票しようという動きがあったように見える。
まあ得票数を見れば自民1.3対民主1.0という割合であり、小選挙区制という枠の中でこのような議席配分となったということで、今後政権交代が不可能な状態というわけでもない。民主党が自壊したりせずにまともに政策と戦略を構築していくことを期待したい。
衆院で3分の2を取ったことで、結局参院で法案が否決されようが反対派を切り捨てようがどうとでもなる状態になったわけで、衆院の亀井派が消えた今、スピードという面で見ればこの結果が大きく作用するように思う。
実際に自民党内の抵抗が確実に弱まり執行部、森派の力が強まるということで、同じ自民党と言っても政策の実現性が大きく違ってくる。今回の解散は首相にとって大きな成果をもたらしたということになる。
一部の新聞などは政治の暴走になるとか衆愚政治だとか言いたい放題だが、自分らの望み通りに行かないからといって選挙の結果、民意というものまで切って捨てる論調はどうなのか。テレビも視聴者からの意見の中でマスコミが作り上げた勝利だとかいうのを紹介していたりして、そりゃ違うというのは一瞬でわかるだろうにテレビに映したりする。根本的にマスコミの中の人は有権者が深慮の末に投票するとは信じていないという点で腐っている。
以前に比べて有権者側には「自分が投票しても変わらない」「誰がやっても同じ」「興味がない」というような考えはなくなってきている。さらに今回の総選挙がその流れを押し進めたという部分で実に意義深い。
また、首相公選制や大統領制のほうがいいという声があったが、実際には今の議院内閣制における首相にもそれなりに権限があるのだということが明らかになってきていることは見逃せない。小選挙区制の元での議院内閣制は結局、政権選択の選挙となりやすいわけで、首相に強い権限が与えられるのならこれはこれで民意をよく反映した政権をもたらすことになる。
これから小泉が任期を終えてその先どうなるのかはよくわからん。この選挙の結果があればそれに逆らうような政権は生まれないであろうとは思うが。
